Brotherhood for formation

Start The Charge where every man carries weight.

The Charge is a small brotherhood of Christian men who move from agreement to obedience through Scripture, truthful accountability, deliberate roles, and concrete weekly action.

What this is

Not a book club. Not a private self-improvement group.

The books give the principles. The Journey gives the assignments. The Charge gives the brotherhood: men who know enough truth about one another to strengthen, correct, and send one another.

Grace, not moralismChrist saves. Obedience is the fruit of grace, not a performance for approval.
Practice, not performanceEvery meeting ends with one visible act of obedience before the next gathering.
Church, not replacementA Charge should strengthen faithful local church membership, not replace pastoral care.
The Charge Kit

A simple pattern for the first twelve weeks.

The Charge Kit gives you the first meeting, The Charge, the eight roles, the weekly rhythm, and the twelve-week path. Use it to gather men around obedience instead of vague inspiration.

The role system

Every man is needed.

Most groups have one leader and passive attendees. A Charge gives every man a deliberate role so brotherhood becomes shared responsibility.

Weekly rhythm

Gather. Tell the truth. Take responsibility.

  1. Name where you governed yourself and where you drifted.
  2. Work one principle from Scripture and the Republic Series.
  3. Activate one role so the room does not become passive.
  4. Commit to one act of obedience before the next meeting.

Launch sequence

Start with four men and one honest table.

1

Invite three men directly.

Do not announce vaguely. Tell each man why you are inviting him and what kind of responsibility The Charge will require.

2

Begin with the first field assignment.

Open `/start-here`, read the first charge, and have each man name one private disorder he has excused.

3

Assign provisional roles.

Name who will gather, order, notice, strengthen, interpret, tell the truth, act, and keep the group outward-facing.

4

Choose the next twelve weeks.

Move through the Journey in order, or use the Biblical Manhood Study Builder for a four-session plan.

First practical move

Send one invitation before conviction cools.
